In Sarawak, Tuak has always been more than just alcohol.
It represents celebration, gathering, harvest, and culture.
Whether it's a Gawai festival, a family gathering, or a joyous occasion with friends, Tuak has always been a genuine connection between people.
But as times change, traditional Tuak has gradually become confined to the image of "an older generation's drink."
Young people are increasingly exposed to international alcohol brands, but few truly understand Malaysia's own traditional drinking culture.
Thus, Drunken Paddy was born.
The name Drunken Paddy comes from "Paddy"—rice.
Because the soul of Tuak originates from rice paddies, the land, and the culture of harvest.
We hope to bring traditional Sarawak Tuak back into the lives of the younger generation.
Not to change its culture, but to reinterpret it in a new way.
We preserve Tuak's cultural roots,
while incorporating modern brand design, youthful flavors, and a lifestyle experience,
making it more than just a traditional festive drink,
it's a modern cultural beverage that can be found at parties, music events, cafes, bars, and social settings.
Drunken Paddy believes: Local culture shouldn't be stuck in the past.
Tradition can be fashionable.
Malaysia can also have its own modern alcohol brands.
This is more than just selling alcohol.
It's about bringing Sarawak culture back to the world in a new generation's way.
Drunken Paddy
